Brayton Laster had one goal as a young child: to follow in his father’s footsteps as a racer. Advancing through Junior Faskarts starting at the age of eight to Super Late Models, Laster scored numerous top 5s and 10s in nearly everything he raced. Alongside these accomplishments, he has sat behind the wheel racing in countless series including World of Outlaws Late Models, Outlaw Figure 8, and even a minivan in a dirt endurance race!
2022 saw him running in the ARCA Menards Series for the first time as well as his debut in the Craftsman Truck Series with Reaume Brothers Racing.
Laster sat down with Pit Pass Network to talk about the shift from short tracks to superspeedways, how he balances racing and education, and even the story behind his nickname.
Brayton chose Drive for Humanity as his charity of choice. Through motorsports, Drive for Humanity holds food drives to make sure no one goes hungry.
