Craftsman Truck Series driver, Stephen Mallozzi went semi-viral after the Martinsville Speedway race when he gave fans and followers some insight into life as “a small-time racing driver.”
So if you’ve ever wondered what it’s like being a small-time racing driver…
Yesterday I drove myself to @MartinsvilleSwy at 7 AM.
I raced in the @NASCAR_Trucks race for @AMRacingNASCAR.
I drove myself back to my apartment, getting back around 3 AM.
Now, I’m serving @Outback. pic.twitter.com/rlBlJZYox4

While the New Jersey native only has two Truck Series starts to his name, he has also collected a few years behind the wheel in late models as a development driver for Reaume Brothers Racing.
Mallozzi caught up with Pit Pass Network to talk about working outside of NASCAR, writing for tobychristie.com as a sports betting analyst, experiencing the first-ever NASCAR oval race on rain tires, and more!
Charity of Choice
Mallozzi chose the American Cancer Society as his preferred charity. The ACS provides resources to cancer patients and their families to improve their quality of life through advocacy, research, and patient support. Ultimately, the American Cancer Society has a goal to eradicate cancer.
This organization is close to Stephen’s family as his father is battling lung cancer. This diagnosis was the cause for Stephen’s break from racing, but also what fuels him to return to the track in a greater capacity.
