Würth 400

Rain was the name of the game at Dover Motor Speedway. It canceled NASCAR Cup Series qualifying on Saturday and delayed the start of the Würth 400 until Monday afternoon.

Once drivers finally took to the track, it was an incident-filled opening stage. One major event that would have long-lasting repercussions came on lap 81.

Ross Chastain, who was running P4, got into the back of the No. 15 of Brennan Poole. While Poole was spinning, he collected the No. 5 of Kyle Larson who was running P5.

Nearing the end of the race, despite being 40 laps down, Larson had something to say to the ‘Melon Man’ about his earlier actions.

Rich MARvelous Move of the Race

The Rich MARvelous Move of the Race is decided upon post-race by the Pit Pass Network staff. It was a smaller pool of votes due to a Monday race, but nonetheless, it was nearly unanimous.

As Chastain was attempting to catch the leader and eventual race winner, Martin Truex, Jr., Larson refused to move out of the way.

I believe that is the on-track version of, “You shall not pass.”

While it would not be a race-winning move for Larson, it certainly prevented Chastain from taking home the checkered flag. However, it remains to be seen if it sent the message Larson intended to send.

Larson went on to finish the day P32, while Chastain finished runner-up.
