First, we want to extend congratulations to the Rich Mar Florist family. Once again, they were named a Top 100 FTD Flowers Florist. This award is a huge honor within the floral industry. They admit they’ve ‘lost count’ of how many years this is now, which speaks volumes about the service and quality of products offered by the family-owned business.
Ally 400
Sometimes, drivers luck into a win, benefiting from the misfortune of others. Sometimes they flat-out earn it. Either way – a win is a win.
Without a doubt, Ross Chastain earned his signature watermelon smash this weekend at Nashville Superspeedway.
His successful race started by winning the pole position – the first ever for Trackhouse Racing. From there, he and his No. 1 Trackhouse Racing team fired on all cylinders.
They finished the opening stage in P2 and the second stage in P3. Ultimately, he went on to hold off Martin Truex, Jr. in the closing laps to score his first win of the season.
Post-race, he said, “This is incredible! You have to go to your people, trust in the process…I got to tell you, a lot of self-reflection throughout all this. I had a group that believed in me and they didn’t let me get down. They bring rocket ships and I just try to point them to Victory Lane.”
Honorable Mention
It goes without saying that Legacy Motor Club drivers have not had a stand-out season. However, Erik Jones reminded fans that despite the troubles in 2023, he and the No. 43 LMC team are “moving forward.”
Jones qualified P23, but made ground early on and finished P16 in the opening stage. The conclusion of the second stage saw him six spots better. And finally, when the checkered flag waved, That Jones Boy sat P8 – and turned heads in the process.
Jones shared with Matt Weaver following the Ally 400 that he was “happy with the direction and speed over the last few months.”
PPN Shout Out
We also want to shout out to Pit Pass Network’s own, Daniel Smith. Our journalist and dedicated NASCAR Numbers Guy correctly predicted the winner for the Ally 400 in his weekly statistics projection.
Next up, Chicago Street Race. Until then, chime in and let us know:
