While he is best known for his job behind the wheel, Chad Chastain wears many hats. DGM Racing recently shared that C. Chastain has served as an additional spotter for the Chicago Street Race as well as a tire specialist at Atlanta Motor Speedway and New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
He has also worn the mechanic hat at various tracks and at the DGM home shop in Florida.
While he only has four NASCAR Xfinity Series starts and five Craftsman Truck Series starts to his name, he has a long history behind the wheel. C. Chastain has put in time in Late Models and FASCAR (Fl. Association of Stock Car Automobile Racing) Pro Trucks.
Chastain caught up with Pit Pass Network to talk about his various roles in motorsports, as well as watermelon farming, working with Josh Williams at DGM, and much more.
Charity of Choice
Given his family’s commitment to agriculture, Chad chose Future Farmers of America as his charity of choice. FFA is focused on ‘growing the next generation of leaders who will change the world.’ Additionally, “FFA is the premier youth organization preparing members for leadership and careers in the science, business, and technology of agriculture.”
