Once again, rain delayed NASCAR Cup Series action. This time, Michigan International Speedway fell victim. However, once the race resumed on Monday, fans were treated to some fine racing.
Chris Buescher definitely made noise inside the Cup garage, winning back-to-back races. Additionally, one could argue the statement was made that Ford, and RFK Racing, are doing just fine.
Rich MARvelous Move of the Race – Fan Edition
This weekend, the Pit Pass Network team was split evenly with their choice for the Rich MARvelous Move of the Race. So, we decided to open it to the fans.
Option 1: Truex Save
With just a handful of laps remaining, the battle between the No. 17 of Buescher and the No. 19 of Martin Truex, Jr. was intense. As Truex got to the inside of Buescher, he had a little bobble.

This could have ended the race for both drivers. However, Truex saved it – and his race. While he ultimately finished runner-up, it could have been much worse.
Option 2: Buescher Holds off a Dominant Truex
Truex started the day P5 and went on to win Stage 1. He eked out a Stage 2 win as well, edging out the No. 99 of Daniel Suarez.
However, on Lap 133 Buescher took the lead to start the final stage and did not look back. While Truex had the dominant car all day (or both days, really), he just could not find a way around Buescher.

Truex save cuz it could have a lot of damage to the field. I don’t like to see carnage. Some may think it was a boring ending but then they didn’t pay attention to Truex.
