South Point 400
Kyle Larson did not lead every lap of the South Point 400. In fact, he was out front just under half of the race. However, after sweeping the stages, winning, and locking himself into the Championship 4, in a way, he dominated the day at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Rich MARvelous Move of the Race
Not only did Larson take the checkered flag, he won the Pit Pass Network vote for Rich MARvelous Move of the Race.
On Lap 141, he was running P2. He got loose and skirted the Turn 2 wall.

This caused him to fall to P5. Nonetheless, as mentioned, he went on to win Stage 2, and ultimately, the race.
Larson could have lost (more) control of his machine and wrecked surrounding cars, or even ended his day. But fast hands and feet, as well as quick thinking, kept his race, and championship hopes, alive.
Honorable Mention
With 51 laps remaining, Ty Gibbs turned heads with the JGR attempt at a Hail Melon.
No, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver didn’t take his No. 54 Toyota Camry to the wall – but his tire sure did. In a four-wide battle for 12th, Gibbs lost his wheel in Turn 2, bringing out the caution.

That tire had some serious speed! And in its defense, NASCAR said drivers cannot attempt Ross Chastain’s infamous Martinsville move – they said nothing about car parts.
Thank you to the right front tire for some late-race entertainment (and our apologies to Gibbs for celebrating the incident that led to a penalty).
