Bank of America ROVAL 400
The Charlotte ROVAL featured a NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs cutoff race where, at the end of the day, four drivers would not advance to the next round to fight for the 2023 Championship.
The ROVAL always delivers with chaos and talking points, and the Bank of America 400 did not disappoint.
Once again, fans witnessed Playoff drivers who faced adversity. Additionally, they saw AJ Allmendinger score his first win of the season. With that, fans were left with plenty to discuss over the Monday morning water cooler.
Rich MARvelous Move of the Race
One move likely being dissected was Ross Chastain’s near-miss when Brad Keselowski had trouble in the front stretch chicane.
On Lap 92, the two were racing for 20th when Keselowski went for a spin. Impressively, Chastain eked by, not sustaining any damage.

Unfortunately, the Trackhouse Racing driver missed part of the chicane and was forced to serve a penalty. However, his heads-up thinking allowed him to remain in the race unscathed and ultimately finish out the day P10.
Honorable Mention
Finally, Allmendinger deserves a shout-out as well. His Cup win allowed him to leave the ROVAL with a trophy for five straight years – four of which came in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
Impressive stats from the Kaulig Racing road course ace.
