PPN is proud to present our next Fan of the Month! Meet Abhi Chauhan, our October 2023 Fan of the Month.
Abhi has been around the NASCAR scene nearly 20 years now. He’s got some great taste in favorite drivers and some cool pieces in his collection. You’ll see some of his prized diecasts a little further down.
Something you might not know about Abhi: he selects several people each year to be recipients of the King’s Kindness Awards. Not only is he a great race fan, he likes to honor those who give back, too! If you’ve been part of the NASCAR community for even a little while, you’ll know the kind of people I’m talking about. Abhi honors them for things like fundraising for specific causes, raising awareness of specific diagnoses, or just being an all-around nice person who gives to others. I’m excited to share some of Abhi’s collection with you, but I encourage you to take a few minutes to check out his King’s Kindness Award winners, too.

How long have you been a NASCAR fan and what got you into it?
Since 2005. Everyone kept telling me “you got to watch a race.” So I did and I was hooked right away. Talladega 2005 was my first race I ever watched.
Who is your favorite current NASCAR driver and why?
Kyle Busch, because when I started watching NASCAR I was cheering for 4 drivers: Jeff Gordon, Carl Edwards, Jimmie Johnson, and Kyle Busch, but the drivers started retiring so I picked a new favorite to cheer on.
Who is your favorite retired NASCAR driver and why?
Carl Edwards because he is always fan friendly. He is an awesome person in general not to mention a great NASCAR driver. I enjoyed seeing the backflips. That’s something I wish I could have done when I was younger.
What is your all-time favorite NASCAR moment or race?
Favorite moment is getting a picture with Carl Edwards in Nashville this year 2023.
Is there a unique story behind a piece of memorabilia that you own?
Jimmie Johnson Sea World diecast 1:24. He was very sick and had a high fever at Dega. But he stayed there and signed for almost everyone before he could not anymore.
What is your favorite piece in your collection? Why is it your favorite?
My 2 autographed diecasts by Carl Edwards. They are awesome paint schemes. They are my favorite because I have an autograph from my all time favorite driver.

What is one item that you really want to add to your collection?
An autographed Checkered Flag from the winner of the race.
