Rich MARvelous Mover of the Season
After 36 races in the NASCAR Cup Series season, there are countless memorable moments from the 2023 season. There was full-race domination, spins that avoided any other cars, brilliant calls from crew chiefs, and a first time winner (in his first-ever Cup race).
But, the results are in and they don’t lie.
With four nominations – the most of any Cup Series driver – Tyler Reddick is the 2023 Rich MARvelous Mover of the Season.
The 23XI Racing driver certainly turned heads all season, advancing to the Round of 8. However, four specific times, his on-track actions made Pit Pass Network staff take extra notice – enough to say it was the best move of the race.
Circuit of the Americas
Reddick’s first nod came at COTA as drivers neared the conclusion of the race. William Byron slipped up and Reddick pounced.
The battle for the lead continues.

While Reddick had to hold on through multiple overtime restarts to claim the checkered flag, it was that initial takeover that earned him the Rich MARvelous Move of the Race.
Charlotte Motor Speedway
In a delayed Coca-Cola 600, Reddick attempted the Jumpman Version of the Pass in the Grass. As he exited Turn 4, Reddick went for a slide through the infield turf. More impressively, he maintained his position in the running order, which earned the CMS Rich MARvelous Move.

Sonoma Raceway
Sonoma was probably one of the more obscure Rich MARvelous Moves of the entire season. Reddick had a tire go down with 13 laps remaining in the race.
Instead of limping around the track and bringing out the caution, he awaited the traffic to clear, pulled a u-ey, and headed back to pit road for service.
Who knows if this is legal or not, but Tyler Reddick made a heads-up move to cut nearly two miles driving on a flat tire. Definitely saved a caution. #NASCAR pic.twitter.com/sFk0SrtHtB

Kansas Speedway
Reddick’s final Rich MARvelous Move nod came at Kansas Speedway. The 23XI driver came from the third row and executed a well-timed pass to win the race and advance in the NASCAR Playoffs.

Just another heads up move from Reddick – one of many displayed throughout the season.
These moves did make the races more interesting to watch.
