– Tyler Ankrum is notable because of his 2024 season stats (mainly Driver Rating)
– Last week Ankrum was able to get a Stage Win, the most Stage Pts, and run over 80% of his laps in the Top 15, but in the end he finished 11th
– After 1 race he has the 2nd best Laps in Top 15% and Avg. Driver Rating with the best stage stats of any driver
– The only streaks he has are the stages in Daytona
– His Atlanta streaks aren’t that impressive as the best streak he has is a 2 straight Stage T10 streak
– In 4 Superspeedway races since the start of 2023 he has just 1 Top 10, but he does have 2 Stage Wins and 3.88 Stage Pts Per Stage
– Last year at Atlanta Ankrum was running Top 10 entering the final corner before getting involved in an incident, leading him to finish 26th
– This has been typical of him here at Atlanta as he has 0 Top 10’s and a 17.5 Avg. Finish here in the last 5 years, but this was his only finish out of the Top 20
Outlook for this weekend
Tyler Ankrum came out on top of the point standings after great stages and a decent finish at Daytona. This has been typical of him at Superspeedways of late as he hasn’t found a way to turn good races into good finishes. What’s worse is this weekend is Atlanta where he’s just struggled over the last 5 years, so overall don’t expect too much in terms of finishing this week for Ankrum.

– Nick Sanchez is notable because of his stats over the last 5 years at Atlanta
– Sanchez started out the year in the best way possible last week, by winning. Overall he ran well and found himself in the right spot when the caution came out.
– Thru 1 race he has the best Avg. Driver Rating and is tied for 8th best Laps in Top 15%, but he was just so-so in stages last week
– Going back to last year he now has 2 straight Top 10 finishes
– He’s only had 1 start at Atlanta in the Trucks and so he doesn’t have much for streaks here
– In the last 4 Superspeedway races he has the 3rd best Avg. Driver Rating, 6th best Avg. Finish, and has gotten an impressive 4.38 Stage Pts Per Stage
– At Atlanta last year Sanchez only ran 51% of his laps in the Top 15, but he was up front late battling for the win before finishing 2nd
– Last year was his only start here at Atlanta so his stats are pretty good
Outlook for this weekend
Nick Sanchez started out the Truck season in the best way possible, by winning. Going to another Superspeedway may just be what he wants as he’s been pretty good at them over the last 2 years getting 3 Top 15’s in 4 starts. One of these was a 2nd place finish at Atlanta last year in his only start here. All of this shows that Sanchez should be on everyone’s watch list for the win this weekend.

– Christian Eckes is notable because of his stats on Superspeedways since the start of last year
– Eckes ran a good majority of his laps in the Top 15 last week and was able to avoid the carnage enough to get a Top 10 finish, finishing 10th
– Through 1 race this year he has the 4th best Avg. Driver Rating and the 3rd best Avg. Stage Finish
– He is now on a 2 race Top 10 streak and has 4 straight Stage T10 finishes dating back to last year
– The biggest streak he has in terms of Atlanta is his 3 straight Stage T10’s which was broken in the last stage competed in at the track
– He’s been dynamite on Superspeedways since the start of last year getting 3 Top 10’s in the 4 races with the 2nd best Avg. Driver Rating and best Avg. Finish of anyone to run in 2+ Superspeedway races
– At Atlanta last year Eckes won Stage 1, ran 77% of his laps in the Top 15, had the 3rd best Driver Rating, and won the race
– The good stats continue when looking at how he’s performed over the last 5 years at Atlanta as he has 2 Top 3’s in 3 starts, the 3rd best Avg. Driver Rating, and he’s gotten 6.17 Stage Pts Per Stage
Outlook for this weekend
Christian Eckes left Daytona with a 10th place finish, but with stages he is 3rd in points. All of this is good but the news just gets better when you see he’s been spectacular on Superspeedways the last 2 years. What’s more is that in his 3 Atlanta starts he has 2 Top 3’s with 1 win, oh and that win was last year. All in all this weekend watch out for Eckes to be up front a lot and battling for the win all race.

– Bret Holmes is notable because he’s 4th in points
– At Daytona Holmes was able to lead 13 laps, get 5 Stage Pts, and put together a good enough effort to finish 4th
– For the season he has the 8th best Avg. Driver Rating and only the 12th best Avg. Stage Finish, but he does have that 4th place Avg. Finish going for him
– The only streak he has is a 1 race Top 5 “streak”
– In terms of Atlanta he has no streaks to speak of
– In the last 4 Superspeedway races he has just 1 Top 5 (last week) and a subpar 69.58 Avg. Driver Rating, but he has finished half the races in the Top 15
– One of the Top 15’s for Holmes came last year at Atlanta where he only ran 11% of his laps in the Top 15 but brought his 32 truck home 13th
– He only has 2 Atlanta starts and in them he’s ran just 6% of his laps in the Top 15, a best finish of 13th, and an underwhelming 49.5 Avg. Driver Rating
Outlook for this weekend
Bret Holmes is one of the many feel good Top 10 stories leaving Daytona, however that’s about where the feel good stops. Superspeedways since 2023 haven’t been great to him, but has resulted in a couple decent results. However, Atlanta hasn’t been too kind as he’s mostly run poorly in his 2 races. This weekend the stats say not to expect Holmes to run great, but he could end with a decent finish.

- 2.5 Stage Pts Per Stage (Ranks T6th)
– Ben Rhodes is notable because of how he ran at Atlanta last year
– Rhodes ran over 60% of the laps he ran in the Top 15, but contact while battling for the lead ended up in tire problems that eventually had him wreck leading to a 30th place finish
– His 2024 stats obviously don’t look great as he’s ran less than 50% of the laps this year in the Top 15 and has only the 21st best Avg. Driver Rating, but he does have the 4th best Avg. Stage Finish
– Due to the bad finish he doesn’t really have much to speak of in terms of streaks
– He has/had lots of streaks here at Atlanta including a 5 race Top 10 streak at one point, and he’s currently on a 2 race Top 5 streak, the longest active streak
– In the last 4 Superspeedway races he has 2 Top 5’s, 3 Top 10’s, and the 4th best Laps in Top 15%. However, he has 0 race Wins and 0 Stage Wins
– At Atlanta last year Rhodes ran all but 2 laps in the Top 15, had the 4th best Driver Rating, got 10 Stage Pts, and finished 5th
– This most recent Atlanta race was a continuation of his greatness at Atlanta as in the last 5 races he has 4 Top 10’s, the best Laps in Top 15%, 2nd best Avg. Driver Rating, and a worst finish of just 16th
Outlook for this weekend
Reigning Truck champion Ben Rhodes didn’t get off to a hot start in Daytona like he was hoping as he wrecked out to finish 30th. However, this weekend is another Superspeedway, which based on his 2023/24 stats means he has another chance to do great as he’s been great in most of these races. What’s more is that he’s been one of the best Truck drivers at Atlanta in the last 5 years. All told watch out for Rhodes to do great this weekend and finish Top 10.
