Würth 400
Following an early caution for Todd Gilliland, the Würth 400 was a relatively calm affair until the middle of Stage 3.
Martin Truex, Jr. won the opening stage after Brad Keselowski spun with six to go, ending the stage under caution. Kyle Larson snagged the Stage 2 win following a long green-flag run, which included green-flag pit stops.
Stage 3 saw a caution with 79 to go in the middle of green-flag pit stops as Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. went for a spin and slammed the inside wall. Immediately after restarting, William Byron got into Bubba Wallace and collected Christopher Bell in the process.
As Denny Hamlin ran off with a nearly-two second lead, the No. 11 started to reach lapped traffic. This slowed the Joe Gibbs Racing driver down enough to allow Larson to catch up with 25 to go.
As drivers took five to go, Larson was on Hamlin’s bumper, but the No. 5 didn’t have enough and Hamlin went on to win at Dover.
Rich MARvelous Move of the Race
After taking the Stage 2 win, Larson came to pit road along with Hamlin and Alex Bowman. However, getting off pit road was another story and that’s where the Rich MARvelous Move for this week comes into play.
It was a three-wide battle on a two-lane pit road. With Larson and Hamlin drag racing out of the pits, Bowman was squeezed out of the way.
He managed to not wreck himself or the Nos. 5 and 11, allowing the three drivers and their cars to remain in the race.
