All-Time Cup Track Stats: Charlotte

Last week in the All-Star Race we got to see the Short track package let us down again, but thankfully Ricky Stenhouse Jr. packed a punch heard around the sports universe to give people something exciting to talk about. Oh, Joey Logano won the All-Star Race by the way. Up next we head to the bread and butter of the Next Gen car, an Intermediate track in Charlotte, where we hopefully get to watch 600 miles of great racing. Down below you will find different statistics from all of the NASCAR Cup races here at Charlotte Motor Speedway ranging from Most Wins to Best Average Finishes by starting position. So read and enjoy these fun fact track stats!
In this post you will only find all-time stats, if you are looking for only active drivers stats or Next Gen stats check out my next article Active/Next Gen Cup Track Stats: Charlotte.
Active Drivers will be highlighted like so
Active means any driver who started a race in the 2024 Cup Series season.

First Winner:
Joe Lee Johnson 06/19/1960
Most Recent Winner: Ryan Blaney 05/29/2023

5 2013-31 23 Brad Keselowski T9 2009-12 21 David Reutimann

Only 10 times in 125 races at Charlotte has a driver started out of the Top 20 and won, with the last time being in 2017.

5 of the last 9 Coca-Cola 600’s to have Pole qualifying have been won by the driver that won the Pole. So, winning the Pole is a good omen for the race this weekend.

There has only been two drivers to sweep all 3 stages in the Coca-Cola 600 and both went on to win the race after winning the Pole. So if a driver sweeps the stages after winning the Pole this weekend expect him to win the race as well.

Running every lap in the Top 15 in a race at Charlotte hasn’t been common as only 20 of 1,378 drivers have done it, and it hasn’t been done in the last 2 races. Even less common is winning as only 4 of the 20 have done that.
