All-Time Cup Track Stats: Nashville

Last week New Hampshire turned into New Dampshire as we saw the final 87 laps run on wet weather tires. In the end it was the driver who dominated the day in dry and wet conditions, Christopher Bell, who went on to take home the checkered flag. Next we head to a track where wet weather racing will not even be considered this weekend, Nashville. Down below you will find different statistics from all of the NASCAR Cup races here at Nashville Superspeedway ranging from Most Wins to Best Average Finishes by starting position. So read and enjoy these fun fact track stats!
In this post you will only find all-time stats, if you are looking for only active drivers stats or Next Gen stats check out my next article Active/Next Gen Cup Track Stats: Nashville.
Active Drivers will be highlighted like so
Active means any driver who started a race in the 2024 Cup Series season.

First Winner:
Kyle Larson 06/20/2021
Most Recent Winner: Ross Chastain 06/25/2023
Worst Starting Positions by Winner
Rank Race Start Pos. Driver Rank Race Start Pos. Driver
1 2021-17 5 Kyle Larson 3 2023-17 1 Ross Chastain
2 2022-17 4 Chase Elliott

There have only been 3 Cup races at Nashville, but so far if you want to win then starting Top 5 is a must.

Worst Finish by Pole Winner
Rank Race Finish Driver Rank Race Finish Driver
1 2022-17 6 Denny Hamlin 3 2023-17 1 Ross Chastain
2 2021-17 4 Aric Almirola

In the same way that starting Top 5 has equaled a win in the 3 races, winning the Pole equals a good finish.

Only once in the three Cup races at Nashville has a driver won Stage 1 and 2, and that did not end in a good race finish for Martin Truex Jr.

Martin Truex Jr. is the only driver at Nashville to get a 102.0 Driver Rating, or better, in a race here and not finish in the Top 10.

Most recent times a Driver ran every lap in Top 15 in race
Most Recent Driver Finish Most Recent Driver Finish
2021-17 Kyle Larson 1st 2023-17 Ross Chastain 1st

The only two times a driver has ran every lap in the Top 15 in a race at Nashville they have won the race, so if a driver runs every lap in the Top 15 this weekend expect them to win.

2 of the 3 Cup races at Nashville have seen 21 or less cars on the lead lap at the finish, so don’t expect too many cars on the lead lap at the end of the race this weekend.
