Ben Rhodes, the 2023 Truck champion, has struggled this year and finds himself and his team near the cutline. Part of the reason he’s even this good in points is how well he’s done in stages. This can also be said of him in the 3 Short track races this year, but in terms of race finish he’s not been good at these tracks. However, this is IRP where Rhodes has a Top 2 finish in the last 2 races, but last year he struggled. Overall, this weekend expect Rhodes to get some Stage Pts, but a good finish may not be there and he may lose ground to the cutline because of it, both Owner and Driver.

Outlook for this weekend
It may be a surprise but Daniel Dye is above the Driver cutline with 2 races remaining in the regular season, however he may have to pick it up if he wants to stay there. His stage stats and lack of Top 5’s this year are what have him there, and he’s now finished 3 of the last 4 races out of the Top 10. Then again, this week is a Short track where he’s ran well and finished Top 15 in all 3 races, but he’s been awful in stages. What’s worse is this is IRP where in his only race he was awful in every way. Based on all these stats don’t expect Dye to do well in stages even if he does run well, and even with a good finish his stages could see him below the cutline after the race.

Outlook for this weekend
Ross Chastain has finished pretty good in most of his 4 Truck starts this year, but his runs haven’t always been the best and his lack of Stage Pts for the 45 truck is an issue. What’s worse is that this week is a Short track where Chastain did not perform all too well, during the race or at the finish, in his one opportunity in a truck this year. Even more concerning is that he hasn’t ran a truck race at IRP since 2011. So, with all this said don’t expect much from Chastain during the race this weekend, which could hurt the 45 truck in points some, but he could be in or near the Top 10 by race’s end.

Outlook for this weekend
Tanner Gray is as close to the cutline as he is thanks to his consistency as he’s one of two drivers with 7+ Truck starts this year not to finish out of the Top 20. However, he’s struggled to run well and hasn’t been good in stages. In addition he’s finished the last 5 races out of the Top 10. The news only gets worse when seeing this weekend is a Short track as Gray’s been subpar on these tracks this year. What’s more is that this weekend is IRP where he hasn’t been too impressive in his 2 starts here. In all, based on the stats above this weekend is shaping up to be disappointing for Gray as he probably doesn’t finish well no matter how good he runs.

Stewart Friesen hasn’t had the best of years as he’s struggled to run or finish well for the most part, but he’s picked a good time to finish the last 5 races in the Top 11. However, this weekend is a Short track where he’s not ran particularly well in the race overall, in stages, or at the finish. What’s worse is that this is IRP where he was just awful last year, but despite this awful run he still has decent stats here in his 2 starts. Overall, don’t expect too much out of Friesen this weekend, especially in terms of stages, but a solid Top 10 finish could be in the cards if he avoids trouble.
