Brickyard 400
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Oval returned to the NASCAR Cup Series with 11 drivers in the field who had never turned laps on the 2.5-mile track.
Denny Hamlin won Stage 1 and Bubba Wallace won the second stage. Following two Overtimes, the checkered flag waved and Kyle Larson had the good fortune to kiss the bricks as the winner of the Brickyard 400.
While the finish left fans debating the inconsistency of NASCAR Cautions, there wasn’t one specific move that left us wowed. So, we’re leaving it up to the fans!

Blaney Save
On Lap 109, Jimmie Johnson and Joey Logano went for a spin, bringing out the caution. In the midst of this, Ryan Blaney got sideways and nearly lost it. However, he hung on to it and wheeled his No. 12 Ford Mustang home to a P3 finish.

Zane/Chastain Dodge
No. The two Chevrolet drivers didn’t trade in their bowties for Dodges. The two drivers made equally impressive moves to avoid calamity in another on-track incident.

If you have trouble finding them, the Pit Pass Network team member who contributed this said, “Chastain has to avoid the 14 when he spins down. The 71 is behind the 14 and has the 14 spin out from in front of him. So focus on the 14 and you’ll see both eventually.”
It is pretty impressive!
Larson Hightails it 20 Spots
Feelings on the ending aside, before the Overtime restarts led to chaos, Larson was booking it through the field. Before Kyle Busch brought out the overtime inducing caution, Larson elbowed his way from P23 to P3, and still had enough gas in the tank to take it to the checkered flag.
The Return of the Oval
Michael McDowell, Tyler Reddick, and AJ Allmendinger fans, cover your eyes. Can we say thank you to NASCAR for bringing back the IMS Oval? Yes, the first half of the Brickyard 400 was a little snoozy, but the second half? We have enough road courses. Let’s keep the Oval as is.
