The Great American Getaway 400
The Great American Getaway 400 featured multiple racing incidents and pit strategies that attempted to mix up the field. And, in what felt like a mid-July miracle, rain did not interfere with the on-track action of a NASCAR Cup Series race. However, the product delivered by the NextGen car, once again, left much to be desired.
Stage winners included Martin Truex, Jr. and Denny Hamlin. Ultimately, Ryan Blaney held off Hamlin to take the checkered flag in his second-ever Pocono Raceway win.
Rich MARvelous Move of the Race
One of the aforementioned incidents provided the Rich MARvelous Move of the Race for this weekend.
On Lap 121, Corey LaJoie clipped Kyle Busch which caused absolute chaos. The wreck collected Austin Cindric, AJ Allmendinger, Harrison Burton, Ryan Preece, Ricky Stenhouse, Jr., and Carson Hocevar.
One driver who made it through unscathed?
Josh Berry.
Take a look at how the Stewart-Haas Racing driver eeked through, just missing Busch as he slid up the track from the infield grass to the outside wall.
