Last week at Nashville we got to see a race dominated by 3 drivers, 2 of which are Cup drivers. In the end it was John Hunter Nemechek pulling out his 2nd Xfinity win of the year, and the 2nd race win in a row for the 20 car. Next we head to another race where Xfinity guys will have to contend with a plethora of Cup guys, Chicago. That may change this weekend as he has 2 Top 10’s in his 2 Xfinity Road Course races this year, but he hasn’t ran well in them. However, he was great here at Chicago last year as he ran 2nd all race. Fortunately for him this weekend is a Road Course where he’s ran spectacular and finished even better (and would be even better if not for a penalty at COTA). However, this is his first Xfinity race at Chicago so we’ll see if that hinders him at all. Overall, Van Gisbergen is probably the favorite this weekend based on his stats above, but don’t engrave the trophy with his name just yet.
