DRAFTYCAR is a new racing game for mobile devices created by Bryan Blackford at Speedway Labs, LLC. This game has taken many in the NASCAR-sphere by storm and I am here to tell you that this game lives up to its billing. Best part is: this game is FREE!
Working as a single developer, Blackford has created one of, if not, the best mobile racing game to date! Speedway Labs, located in Charlotte, NC, has two other racing games Northern Speedways and Speedway Ringers.
The gameplay for DRAFTYCAR is very straightforward and simple which bodes well for a mobile nascar game! With tap to steer and buttons to look back and brake all close to each other on the interface, these controls are simple to learn and get down pat.
The visuals are also another huge plus for the game as they really capture the feel of an indie/arcade video game! The liveries on the cars are reminiscent of current schemes with different brands on the cars. It brings me back to other arcade racing games I played when I was younger so it hits the nostalgia factor out of the park.
All things considered, DRAFTYCAR is an excellent mobile racing game made by race fans for race fans. Personally, I have not been able to put this game down as it’s just so addicting. Once you get the mechanics down, you’ll find yourself playing again and again.
