Bass Pro Shops Night Race
Just mere hours before the green flag of the Bass Pro Shops Night Race, NASCAR called an audible. PJ1 would be applied to the bottom two feet “or so” of the racing surface. This sent NASCAR Cup Series teams scrambling to figure out how the track would race and work out a strategy to adjust for this news.
Alex Bowman started on the pole and maintained the lead until Lap 33. At that point, Kyle Larson took the lead and went on to dominate.
The Hendrick Motorsports driver won both stages and stayed out front for 462 laps, with an almost six-second lead at one point, to win the race.
Rich MARvelous Move of the Race
The action on track was very lackluster. This made it very easy for our team to nail down the Rich MARvelous Move of the Race this week.
In a battle for second place, Chase Briscoe took the race three wide with Martin Truex, Jr. and Denny Hamlin.

Amazingly, all three came out unscathed.
Playoff Implications
Following this, Hamlin went on to finish P4 and Briscoe in P8, and both advanced to the next round of the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs.
Meanwhile, Truex came up short in his final full-time season and will not race for the 2024 Championship.
Additionally, Ty Gibbs, Brad Keselowski, and Harrison Burton each failed to advance to the next round.
