All-Time Cup Track Stats: Atlanta

Last week at Daytona we got to see a finish actually end under green as William Byron avoided carnage twice to win the Daytona 500 again. This week we head to another drafting track where carnage will probably be present, and hopefully more racing will be too. Down below you will find different statistics from all of the NASCAR Cup races here at Atlanta Motor Speedway ranging from Most Wins to Best Average Finishes by starting position. So read and enjoy these fun fact track stats!
In this post you will only find all-time stats, if you are looking for only active drivers stats or Next Gen stats check out my next article Active/Next Gen Cup Track Stats: Atlanta.
Active Drivers will be highlighted like so
Active means any driver who started a race in the 2025 Cup Series season.

First Winner:
Fireball Roberts 07/31/1960
Most Recent Winner: Joey Logano 09/08/2024

5 1980-05 31 Dale Earnhardt T10 1993-30 20 Rusty Wallace
6 2024-02 23 Daniel Suarez

Bobby Labonte was the king of starting bad at Atlanta and winning as he holds 3 of the 10 spots on the list, including the top 2.

Denny Hamlin’s record of worst finish by a pole winner at Atlanta will probably never be broken since there are no more than 41 cars that start each race now a days.
