Attractions

  • S’edav Va’aki Museum, formerly known as the Pueblo Grande Museum, is an archaeological site once inhabited by the Hohokam culture. The museum is a national historic landmark and is located near downtown Phoenix.

The 2/3 mile trail takes you through a prehistoric Hohokam archaeological site with a platform mound, ball court, and replicated houses. There are a few galleries that display artifacts, and there is a hands-on children’s area.

  • The Children’s Museum of Phoenix is a great idea if you want to stay inside and keep your kids entertained. There are three floors of hands-on and interactive exhibits that will keep all ages busy for hours.

  • If you are looking for some adventure, try an ATV Tour from Arizona Outdoor Fun and Adventure Tours. Who wouldn’t enjoy going off-road in the desert?!
When you are ready to fuel up, here are suggestions for restaurants in the area.
  • If you are craving Neapolitan pizza, Pomo Pizzeria Phoenix is the place for you! Make sure to leave room for dessert! They make their own gelato in-house.

  • Rusconi’s American Kitchen is the place to try for an upscale experience. The short ribs and roasted duck came highly recommended.
  • They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so head to Breakfast Club! Why not have a Tex-Mex breakfast? I was told the omelets and benedicts are the winners on the menu.
