Actor Morgan Freeman gave the command to fire engines, and then the NASCAR Cup Series drivers were on their way in Las Vegas. Michael McDowell led the field to green, but a series of unfortunate events put him mid-pack early on. Following a mid-stage pit cycle and a caution for a rouge tire, Austin Cindric claimed the green-white-checkered for Stage 1.
A late caution in Stage 2 provided for a dramatic race to the end of the segment. After drivers took things three-wide, Kyle Larson came out on top.
Stage 3 saw multiple cautions as the intensity ramped up. With 34 to go, green-flag pit stops began. Ten laps later, Noah Gragson blew a tire and slammed the wall, once again shaking up the field.
When the dust settled, Josh Berry crossed the stripe first! With that, he earned his first series win and gave Wood Brothers Racing number 101!
Rich MARvelous Move of the Race
At first, the Pit Pass Network team joked that whoever didn’t lose a tire or receive a speeding penalty would earn the Rich MARvelous Move. But then, Justin Haley said, “Not so fast.”

In a massive incident that ended the day for Ryan Blaney and set others back, one of our team members sent the following tweet in our group chat:

Then, we rolled back that lovely Las Vegas footage:
Big trouble on the backstretch!@Blaney is among those collected. pic.twitter.com/mJzZoeJO5Z

You can see, after Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. gets loose, it sets off a domino effect.
Blaney takes off down the track, and before making contact with Erik Jones on his way back up the track, Haley skirts through, threading the needle. If he had come through a second before or after, he would have left Vegas in a much worse position than P14.
When confirming Haley earned the move of the race, one of our team members said, “I’m saying Haley as the first half of the season move! That was cool!”
What are your thoughts? Did we hit the jackpot this week?
