Straight Talk Wireless 400

Alex Bowman was scored the pole winner for the Straight Talk Wireless 400, but by Lap 8, Ryan Blaney had solidified himself in the lead position. He worked up to a five-second lead before green-flag pit stops started with 48 to go in the stage. Despite a late-stage caution, Blaney held on to win the opening segment.

A crazy mishap on pit road during the stage break gave fans something to talk about before Blaney got back to the lead.

In the closing laps of the second stage, Kyle Larson and Denny Hamlin worked around a struggling Blaney, with the No. 11 claiming the stage win.

After winning the stage, Hamlin led the field to green for the final stage. It wasn’t long before Blaney was back, fighting for the lead. However, before he could secure the lead, Blaney’s engine blew, ending the day for the No. 12 Penske driver.

With 51 to go, it was now anyone’s game. After Bubba Wallace and Bowman battled, it was the polesitter who ran off with the lead.

With six to go, Bowman got into the wall and Larson took advantage of his teammates’ misfortune. And that was all she wrote. Larson drove off into the Miami sunset for the Homestead win.

Rich MARvelous Move of the Race

Our Rich MARvelous Move of the Race this weekend is more like the MARvelous Mover.

The Rich MARvelous Move of the Race is voted on by Pit Pass Network team members following the checkered flag of each NASCAR Cup Series race.

Today, he started the race 10th and finished P7 in the opening stage. He just missed stage points in Stage 2, finishing P13.

His final pit stop ran a little long so his team could pack the car full of fuel. Despite that, he finished the race in P7, marking himself as the only driver to finish in the top 10 in all four Miami races in the Next Gen car.

Congratulations to AJ Allmendinger on standing out and turning heads in Homestead!
