While the Xfinity and Cup teams returned to the track now known as EchoPark Speedway (FKA Atlanta), the Craftsman Trucks hit the road on the historic Lime Rock Park road course in Connecticut.

For the Truck Series, this was yet another historic moment in 2025 as none of NASCAR’s major series have ever had a points-paying race on the Connecticut road course. This race also saw Corey Heim dominate the field starting first, leading 99 of the 100 laps, and handedly winning the event.

#66 Cameron Waters: Adding to the momentum of ThorSport Racing’s #66 Ford team, V-8 Super Car driver Waters had a solid showing on the historic course. The Mildura, Victoria native qualified 16th, held on through chaotic ending, and finished a career-best 5th.

Waters has two previous truck starts with ThorSport in 2024, as well as a Cup start with RFK Racing in Sonoma last year as well.

#7 Jordan Taylor: Joining Waters on the “road course ringer” list is sportscar and endurance racing veteran Jordan Taylor. While Taylor’s truck debut did not go as planned (he finished 20th), he gave Spire Motorsports’ Chevrolet an impressive run before a late race incident ruined the day. Taylor did qualify second, and ran an impressively methodical race.

Taylor has some previous NASCAR experience in 2023, running two Xfinity races and as a Cup Series relief driver for Chase Elliot at COTA.

#44 Josh Bilicki: Perhaps one of the more overlooked road course talents in NASCAR today is Josh Bilicki. Niece Motorsports gave Bilicki a shot in their #44 Chevrolet, and the driver delivered. In what was his twelfth truck start, Bilicki rolled off 18th and brought his truck home in 7th.

Bilicki is a veteran journeyman with 117 Xfinity starts and 103 Cup Series starts on his resume as well.

#48 Nick Sanchez: The biggest upset of the weekend perhaps came in the Xfinity Series. Hired to driver Big Machine Racing’s #48 Chevrolet as an Xfinity rookie this season, Sanchez scored his first career Xfinity win. Qualifying 18th, Sanchez worked his way to the front, leading the final six laps on the way to victory.

After 17 starts thus far, Sanchez sits 10th in the standings with now a win and six top top ten finishes.

#28 Kyle Sieg: Driving for his family-owned team, RSS Racing’s second car had a strong showing at EchoPark. In a season that has seen more bad luck then anything else, Sieg placed his Ford in 9th after starting 21st. The Atlanta run also elevated Sieg in points to 25th, beating a previous best finish of 11th in Las Vegas.

#70 Leland Honeyman: While Honeyman is a second-year driver in Xfinity, his Cope Family Racing team is in their first year of competition. Hired to run part-time in the #70 Chevrolet, Honeyman has experienced some growing pains as the team comes together. EchoPark may have been the start of something however, with a strong 12th place run.

Honeyman has run ten races in the #70 Chevrolet so far, with a previous best of 8th in the series’ first Atlanta trip.

#6 Brad Keselowski: Keselowski and the 6 bunch’s struggles in 2025 have been well documented. EchoPark may have been a turning point for the Ford driver finally. Showing the team can still perform, Keselowski led 46 laps after starting sixth and had a near-miss for a win, coming home 2nd.

Keselowski now sits 28th in the standings with two top five finishes and five DNFs.

#10 Ty Dillon: The chaos-filled Cup race led to many surprise results, with Kaulig Racing’s Dillon scoring his first top ten of the season. Qualifying his #10 Chevrolet in 14th, Dillon survived the many multi-car incidents and finished 8th. Not only was this the Kaulig driver’s first top ten of 2025, but also first the Bristol dirt race in 2022.

#87 Connor Zilisch: Very early into his NASCAR career at just 18 years old, Zilisch has turned heads in 2025 in his mainstay Xfinity Series as well as the Cup garage. A reputation as a road course ace as well, Zilisch is quickly learning how to perform on ovals.

Hired for a part-time schedule to drive Trackhouse Racing’s #87 Chevrolet, Zilisch had an outstanding run in Atlanta, starting 36th and finishing 11th in his third Cup start.
