BetRivers 200
Driver: Carson Kvapil
Organization & Number: JR Motorsports, #1
Crew Chief: Andrew Overstreet
Spotter: TJ Majors
“Time to go get you that monster.” – Andrew Overstreet
Since NASCAR Cup Series regular Ross Chastain qualified P5, we moved to the 14th-place driver to keep the series focused on NASCAR Xfinity Series drivers.
Stage 1
Drivers loaded up and hit the high, concrete banks of Dover Motor Speedway for the BetRivers 200. Following a morning of rain, the track was fresh, and Mile the Monster was ready.
As spotter TJ Majors radioed in, “Loose, loose, loose,” Carson Kvapil dropped to P19.
Six laps in, drivers fell into a single-file line and were testing out the track. It was quiet over the next 20 laps, and Overstreet noted Kvapil was running top-five lap times, despite sitting P20.
As Kvapil’s teammate, Justin Allgaier, plowed his way through the field from the rear, the driver of the No. 1 jumped back to P19.
A quiet opening stage came to a close, and Kvapil was scored P17. He noted he was “really free” and lacking “rear lateral.”
Overstreet promised changes were headed his way.

Stage 2
Following those much-needed changes, Kvapil lined up P19 for the second stage. Before things fell back to single file, Kvapil gained a position, and Majors told him, “More of that.”
Unfortunately, Kvapil found himself back in P19 at the close of the stage.
Overstreet told his driver that “more of the same” changes were coming.
Stage 3
As Kvapil returned to the track, Overstreet noted there was rain moving into the area.
He lined up P16 and Kyle Sieg, who stayed out, made it a three-wide mess as he fell through the field.
With 71 to go and rain off of Turn 2, Kvapil moved to P15. But before he could gain another spot, the caution waved, then the red was displayed for weather.
Eventually, the race was called, and Kvapil was credited with a P15 finish.
Sponsor Shout-out + Social Round-up
NASCAR fans know sponsors make the sport go ’round. We want to give a shout-out to Bass Pro Shops. They played a huge part of the weekend for Carson and the No. 1 team.
