The final crown jewel event of the NASCAR Cup Series schedule arrives this weekend. On Labor Day Weekend, Darlington Raceway will host the Cook Out Southern 500. Last year, this race produced a surprise winner in Chase Briscoe. Serving as the regular season finale, it prompted Briscoe’s entry into the playoffs. Now, Darlington will return to its usual spot of opening the playoffs. Not only will it open the Cup playoffs, but the Craftsman Truck Series will also see their first round kick off in South Carolina. Meanwhile, the Xfinity Series is completely on the other side of the country as they take on the road course in Portland.
