The Round of 12 kicked off in New Hampshire last weekend. With the Cup Series Playoff field down to 12 drivers, the margin for error decreased. Back in the playoffs for the first time since 2017, New Hampshire Motor Speedway put on a solid race that saw comers and goers. Still, the blue ovals from the Penske camp dominated the day. Of the 301 laps ran, a Penske affiliated driver led 273 of them. Still, there was enough drama via well-timed cautions and pit strategy to keep the race entertaining throughout. However, the big question is what did the Mobile 1 301 do this week’s rankings? Last week saw some shuffling down the leaderboard. What is in store for the FitStop Performance 2025 Week 30 Power Rankings?

#10 – Chase Elliott

Previous Ranking: Honorable Mention

From potential disaster to a strong day, Chase Elliott’s Sunday bolsters him back into the rankings this week. A miserable qualifying effort of 27th looked to be an insurmountable obstacle at New Hampshire. However, the 9 team managed the race well and Elliott drove his way to the Top-5. A bold call on the final restart saw Elliott maintain that position to hold on for his 9th Top-5 of the season.

#9 – Tyler Reddick

Previous Ranking: 8

Down the rankings Tyler Reddick falls as his disappointing 2025 season continues. New Hampshire was another miss for the 45 team. After scoring 2 points in Stage 1, the race went downhill quickly for Reddick. He managed to stay on the lead lap, but failed to make a significant impact. Entering Kansas this weekend, Reddick is on the wrong side of the cutline.

#8 – Christopher Bell

Previous Ranking: 9

Surprisingly, Christopher Bell did little to establish himself as one of the top drivers. Usually a force to be reckoned with at New Hampshire, Bell fell into the second tier of drivers. While a 6th place finish is hardly anything to be upset about, the result certainly fell short of the high expectations for Bell.

#7 – Chris Buescher

Previous Ranking: 7

Maintaining his spot in the rankings this week, Chris Buescher simply did not have the car to be competitive. Even when crew chief Scott Graves made 2-tire calls for track position, Buescher would fail to maintain it. After a strong stretch of races in recent weeks, a Top-20 result is an outlier.

#6 – Bubba Wallace

Previous Ranking: 5

While Tyler Reddick had a mediocre day, Bubba Wallace’s momentum completely deflated. After a strong run in the Round of 16, the 23 team missed the mark completely in New Hampshire. Described as “embarrassing” by Wallace, the race simply got away from them. Finishing down a lap, Wallace sits last among the remaining playoff competitors.

#5 – Kyle Larson

Previous Ranking: 6

Is a Kyle Larson win around the corner? Ignoring Larson’s struggles with the tire at Bristol, the 5 team has put together a string of solid races recently. While the result has not matched the speed, the recent performances have been significantly better than the summer stretch. Larson only managed to lead 4 laps, but looked to be a contending car if he could get the right track position.

#4 – Denny Hamlin

Previous Ranking: 4

Caution to all future young teammates of Denny Hamlin: he will wreck you to send a point. While battling Ty Gibbs for the 12th spot, Hamlin decided that Gibbs was racing too aggressively for a teammate (and a driver out of the playoffs). Rather than remain stagnant behind the 54, Hamlin gave his teammate the bumper that led to his eventual DNF. Outside of that incident, Hamlin’s New Hampshire race was not too memorable.

#3 – William Byron

Previous Ranking: 3

William Byron finished both stages and the race in third place. Naturally, that is where he finds himself in this week’s rankings. The best Chevy in the field, Byron attempted to give the Penske trio his best shot. However, he could never overcome their superior speed on Sunday. Still, that third place finish marks Byron’s first since Iowa.

#2 – Chase Briscoe

Previous Ranking: 1

Despite falling from the top spot, Sunday was not a bad race for Chase Briscoe. While it was a departure from his top form in recent weeks, Briscoe pieced together a solid afternoon. Missing out on points in Stage 1, Briscoe battled to finish ninth in Stage 2. This led to an eventual Top-10. Although he fell from the top spot, the JGR driver could easily return atop of the rankings with a good performance at Kansas.

#1 – Ryan Blaney

Previous Ranking: 2

Returning to the number 1 spot in the Week 30 FitStop Performance Power Rankings is Ryan Blaney. The Mobile 1 301 was the Team Penske show with Ryan Blaney serving as the starring driver. Blaney had one of the best cars in the field, but he would lose track position to bog him down. Once he gained the top spot late in the race, that was all she wrote. Holding off a fast Josh Berry, Blaney secured his third win of the season and spot in the Round of 8.

Honorable Mention

Brad Keselowski – After getting involved with Shane van Gisbergen in an accident, Brad Keselowski’s day struggled to recover as he drops out of the rankings this week.

Joey Logano – Joey Logano has picked up 3 straight Top-5s. On Sunday, he led the most laps with 147.

Carson Hocevar – Similar to Kyle Larson, Carson Hocevar’s results have not reflected how well the Spire Motorsports driver has performed these past few weeks.
