At the Roval last week we saw SVG absolutely dominate another Road Course this year while his teammate, Ross Chatain, valiantly fought for his playoff life, to no avail. Now, we begin the Round of 8 heading to Las Vegas where every playoff driver will have a chance to prepare for Phoenix for 3 weeks. Down below you will find different statistics from all of the NASCAR Cup races here at Las Vegas Motor Speedway ranging from Most Wins to Best Average Finishes by starting position. So read and enjoy these fun fact track stats!
In this post you will only find all-time stats, if you are looking for only active drivers stats or Next Gen stats check out my next article Active/Next Gen Cup Track Stats: Las Vegas.
Active Drivers will be highlighted like so
Active means any driver who started a race in the 2025 Cup Series season.

First Winner:
Mark Martin 03/01/1998
Most Recent Winner: Josh Berry 03/16/2025
Worst Starting Positions by Winner

5 2007-03 23 Jimmie Johnson 10 2003-03 17 Matt Kenseth

In the 35 races at Las Vegas only 13 times has someone started 11th or worse and won. So, look for the winner to start inside the Top 10 this weekend.

T4 2010-03 35 Kurt Busch 10 2025-05 16 Michael McDowell

Starting on Pole at Las Vegas is generally good and Dale Jarrett’s/Erik Jones’ unfortunate record of worst finish by pole winner is probably safe for a while as the last time 40 cars showed up for a Cup race at Las Vegas was before the Next Gen car.

In 2009 Kyle Busch became the first, and only, driver to win the Pole and Race at Las Vegas. So, while winning the Pole typically means a good finish, don’t look for the Pole winner to win the race this weekend. Photo by Harry How — Getty Images
