Stage 1
The NASCAR Xfinity Series took to Las Vegas Motor Speedway on a windy afternoon. While Daniel Hemric wasn’t fighting for a championship, he and his No. 11 Kaulig Racing team still had work to accomplish before the end of the season.
The race went green and as the opening lap closed, Daniel Hemric was sitting middle of three. He lost a spot to Sheldon Creed, but quickly reclaimed it.

As more shuffling took place, he fell to P15. Hemric radioed in that he was “free on entry and tight in the center.”
On Lap 12, Hemric lost P15 to Harrison Burton, but was told, “You’re both better than this [No.] 99 [Matt DiBenedetto] in front.”
The first caution waved on Lap 24 for debris on the track. Hemric noted he was “sliding the back all over the place.” Despite that, Crew Chief Eddie Pardue kept Hemric on track.
The restart came with 17 laps left in the stage, and Hemric was in P16. He floated between P16 and P17 as he ran three-wide. As he continued to battle a loose car, he fell to P18. However, he reclaimed P17 to end the stage.
Pardue encouraged his driver that changes were coming.

Stage 2
To start the second stage, Hemric lined up P15 and quickly gained a spot. Just as quickly, he lost it and settled back into P15.
He gained two spots on an early run, but then radioed in, noting he was loose again as he fell to P18.

As the green-white-checkered waved, Hemric finished the stage in P17, with the same needs for his car.
Pardue offered some different changes while sharing that Hemric was running top-10 lap times.
Stage 3
Hemric’s crew chief opted to throw the kitchen sink at the No. 11 in an attempt to make the car better. He returned to the track in P14, and a chaotic restart saw Hemric fall to P16. As the laps ticked by, he lost an additional two spots.
As green flag pit stops began, Hemric worked to the lead before pitting. After leading for four laps, he came to his crew. With 47 to go, he returned to the track to finish out the race in P23.
After the remaining cars took to pit road, he worked his way to P17.
With 29 laps remaining, the caution waved as Dean Thompson kissed the wall and went for a spin.
Hemric gave a brief update on his car, and Pardue opted to put new tires on the car for the final run of the race. He hit the track in P16 with 23 to go, and that’s where he would end the night.

Pardue said, “I know we missed it, but we appreciate the effort and hustle.”
Hemric was also told, “We love it when you come drive our stuff because you give 110%”
