Roulette Recap follows a randomly selected driver throughout a race to break down their efforts. There is no telling ahead of time how the race will go. The driver could face calamity on the opening lap or start from the rear and win the race. With that, may the odds be ever in the driver’s favor.

“Let’s try to rebound from last week!” – Josh Williams
Stage 1
In stark contrast to Daytona, drivers kept it clean in the opening lap. Josh Williams lost a few spots at the green flag; however, Lap 5 saw a doozy of a wreck that brought out the first caution.

Williams told his team, “Car feels really good, actually super good! Just a touch free, but I think it will be really good in another 10-15 laps.”
After the clean-up, Williams lined up P16 with 33 to go in the stage. He settled in at P20 while the field went single file.
To finish out the stage, he ran his line, felt out the car, kept it clean, and was scored P19.
Stage 2
The No. 92 worked a plan, and Crew Chief Steve Addington said the plan was to get Williams “a little bit snugged up.”

After a full-service stop, Williams started the second stage in P16. He fell to P19 and quietly ran his race. As the stage came to a close, Spotter Reed Sorenson noted, “Running the same lap times as the leaders.”
Stage 3
Following more adjustments, Williams was instructed to save fuel. He faced the final 65 laps, starting from P15.
The opening laps of the final stage brought a great deal of shuffling throughout the field, and Williams found himself sitting in the top 10. He was running P11 when a huge wreck occurred, knocking out some top dogs.

Addington kept his driver on track to maintain his top 10 spot as drivers restarted with 50 to go. In the opening lap, he fell to P13. Within five more laps, he lost two more spots. He was running P15 with 38 to go when the caution waved for Cody Ware.
Addington asked if he wanted to work on it. Williams said, “I’m not coming in unless we need gas.”
From there, the team weighed the options. Ultimately, Addington left the decision in his driver’s hands. Williams ended up coming to his team, and on the way out, was tagged for speeding. This forced him to the rear for the final 32 laps.
Within five laps, Williams had gained six spots. With 22 to go, another massive wreck happened, and Williams was now scored P11.
15 To Go
For the Lap 149 restart, Williams took the top lane, and Sorenson said, “Let’s shoot some gaps!” as his driver looked to notch another top-10 finish at the track.
Williams went three-wide, and Sorenson said, “Rip it hard, here.” And Williams did just that, rocketing into the top 10.
Suddenly, he was spinning after contact with Sam Mayer. His No. 92 machine was killed, and the night ended for Williams.
