Daytona 500
It was finally time to wave the green flag on the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season. Kyle Busch secured the pole for the Daytona 500, and an early caution shook up the field a bit.
Green flag pit stops began as the opening stage came to a close, allowing Zane Smith to snag the stage win – his first stage win in the series.
Ryan Blaney brought the field to green for the start of the second stage. Twenty laps into the stage, there was a massive collection of drivers.

This break in the action allowed Bubba Wallace to claim the stage win.
The start of the final stage brought word that rain was moving into the area; however, drivers at the front of the field quickly went into fuel-saving mode.
With 20 to go, green flag stops began. Ten laps later, Christopher Bell found himself stuck in the wall, bringing out the caution.
Facing a dash to the end, fans witnessed multiple crashes on the back and front stretch, but ultimately, Tyler Reddick avoided the calamity to win the 2026 Daytona 500.
Rich MARvelous Move of the Race
Daytona International Speedway played host to countless crashes throughout the week, between the Duels and the 500.
This is typical of superspeedway racing. When drivers hit those high banks, things start to go awry.
That is what made this week’s Rich MARvelous Move extra special!

Post-race, it was announced that Josh Berry and the No. 21 team were the only car not to be involved in an incident throughout the chaotic weekend.
