Coca-Cola 600
Rain delayed the start of the season’s longest race, but once cars hit the track, fans were treated to multi-groove racing and battles throughout the field. It almost made the 24-hour wait worth it! It took a red flag for weather and 12 cautions, but the NASCAR Cup Series eventually made it all 600 miles.
Tyler Reddick turned some heads leading up to the race with his University of North Carolina, Michael Jordan-inspired paint scheme, but he turned everyone’s head with a ridiculous save mid-race.
Rich MARvelous Move of the Race
Reddick was having an incredibly strong night, finishing the first and third stages in the top 10, gaining 16 stage points between the two.
But on Lap 325, Reddick made the Rich MARvelous Move of the Race – or quite possibly, the first half of the regular season.
While running P2, Reddick got loose exiting Turn 4, went sliding through the infield turf, and returned to the track – never losing a position.

Reddick continued to run solid for the remainder of the race and finished the night P5.
Honorable Mention
We would like to give an ‘atta boy’ to NASCAR for making the call early enough on Sunday evening to postpone the Coca-Cola 600, saving fans from sitting in the elements longer than necessary awaiting a call.
It definitely appeared that they gave it their all to get the race going that evening, but there is only so much you can do when rain is involved. No doubt, the logistics were mind-boggling between both the NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series, but the on-track action was definitely worth waiting for.
