Pit Pass Network Interview: Parker Retzlaff

At only 19, Parker Retzlaff has quickly made a name for himself within the NASCAR Xfinity Series garage. In 2022, the young driver made only nine starts in the series and secured a top-ten finish. Certainly impressive for so few races in one season.

After signing full-time with Jordan Anderson Racing for 2023, he has already topped his previous accomplishments. Retzlaff has already compiled an additional top-five finish, as well as four top-five starting spots.

In addition to these stellar starts and finishes, he has completed 98.7% of the laps (according to RacingReference.com) – and we’re not even halfway through the season.

Retzlaff continues to learn and grow his craft, all while surrounded by a solid team and veteran drivers at JAR.

Retzlaff was kind enough to talk with Pit Pass Network about being one of the drivers representing the state of Wisconsin in NASCAR, kicking off the season with a top-five finish at Daytona International Speedway, and what it is like being in the Team Dillon Management program.

Charity of Choice

MRO’s Better Half Dash was the charity Parker selected. The Better Half Dash is an annual event sponsored by NASCAR’s Motor Racing Outreach. Each participant picks a charity for which to raise money and awareness.

Parker’s ‘Better Half’, Ariana Jencik will be racing in this event to raise money for Continuing the Mission. CTM provides assistance dogs to military veterans. To donate to Ariana’s fundraising efforts, visit her MRO link and be sure to tune in to Race Hub on June 8 to see her take on 13 other ‘better halves’ on the track!
