After a seizure put the brakes on his driving career, Matt Tifft quickly shifted gears to remain in the sport. Tifft jumped into team co-ownership with long-time friend, BJ McLeod. Together, the two formed Live Fast Motorsports, fielding the No. 78 in the NASCAR Cup Series.
Three years later, Tifft has made a return to the track. In mid-August, he ran races at Marshfield Speedway and Golden Sands Speedway, earning the pole in one race and finishing top five in both races.
Tifft sat down with Pit Pass Network to catch up and talk about his return to racing. He also shared more on his path to team co-ownership, being honored as one of Forbes’ 30 Under 30, and so much more!
Charity of Choice
Given his history with brain tumors and epilepsy, it is no surprise that Matt’s charity of choice is the American Brain Tumor Association.
According to their website, “the mission of the American Brain Tumor Association is to advance the understanding and treatment of brain tumors with the goals of improving, extending and, ultimately, saving the lives of those impacted by a brain tumor diagnosis.”
