Prepare to meet the Iron Lady! Melissa Fifield is certainly making a name for herself in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour.
Not only has she been named Most Popular Driver in the series three times, she has amassed more series starts than any other female.
Growing up watching the series greats mix it up at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, the urge to race has been in Fifield’s blood ever since.
Her parents were a bit more hesitant. However, once she won a Champ Kart championship at the age of 12, there was no stopping her.
Away from the track, she owns a car dealership. Additionally, she is the New Hampshire state spokesperson for highway safety.
Speeding to Read
While Fifield promotes safe driving on the highways, she encourages youth in her home state to read as much as possible!
In 2018, Fifield partnered with NHMS to celebrate students at a local elementary school and their impressive reading accomplishments. Combined, the students read over 36,000 books. The winning grades won the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session with the driver.
