General Tire 150 at Phoenix Raceway

On Friday, the ARCA Menards Series will hold the General Tire 150 at Phoenix Raceway. Last year, Tyler Reif emerged as the winner. He defeated William Sawalich who dominated the spring race at Phoenix before being involved in a late-race accident.

Sawalich will drive the No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota and hopes to start his ARCA season with a win. Reif, a West Series regular, will drive for Todd Souza and Central Coast Racing. Previously, he raced for and won with Chris Lowden.

Gio Ruggiero Debut

Gio Ruggiero will make his national debut. He is a winner in the ASA Southern Super Series and ASA/CRA Super Series super late model tours. Ruggiero will drive the No. 20 car for Venturini Motorsports, which will have entries for full-season competitors including Toni Breidinger, Amber Balcaen, and Kris Wright.

Marco Andretti will also race in the No. 17 car for Bruce Cook’s team, while Connor Mosack, representing the Pinnacle Racing Group, will drive the No. 28 Chevrolet.

Isabella Robust

Isabella Robusto, a Fort Mill, South Carolina resident, will make her series debut in the No. 55 Toyota for Venturini Motorsports. She competed in Late Model Stock car racing last year, where she won two races, secured three poles, and achieved 10 top three, 21 top five, and 30 top 10 finishes.

Robusto was ranked second in the overall Championship Points at Hickory Motor Speedway and third in the overall Championship points at Tri-County Motor Speedway. Additionally, she became the first female driver to have a podium finish in the 30-year history of the SC-400. Robusto was selected to participate in the Toyota Racing Development Program in 2022.

The entry list has yet to be released, but expect to see other familiar names on it, including Christian Rose, Andy Jankowiak, Jack Wood, Trevor Huddleston, Eric Johnson Jr., Robbie Kennealy, and Takuma Koga.
