Roulette Recap follows a randomly selected driver throughout a race to break down their efforts. There is no telling ahead of time how the race will go. The driver could face calamity on the opening lap or start from the rear and win the race. With that, may the odds be ever in the driver’s favor.

Brennan Poole noted, “I got hit in the back. I’m sure it’s fine, but, man, come on!” He asked his team to check out the bumper as he drove by.

He lined up P31 for the restart on Lap 5. Within a lap, it was a three-wide pack, and Poole was running P29. The No. 44 team opted to hang in the back and avoid any potential chaos.

As the stage continued, drivers kept it three-wide, and Poole maintained his position. At the front of the field, drivers mixed it up, swapping the lead every few laps.

The final laps were wild, and the stage ended in a photo finish. Poole held P29 and noted, “I wish I had a little bit more rear stability, but it’s not bad.”

Stage 2

Following a pit stop, Poole lined up P23. Immediately, the field went three- and four-wide. Taking 15 to go in the short stage, Poole was running P25.

Stage 2 ended quietly with Poole in P25. Poole confirmed, “Balance was way better. Pretty happy with the car there.”

Stage 3

Under caution, the No. 44 team discussed pit strategy to set them up for a potential overtime finish. Poole returned to the track in P22. However, he was afforded seven spots as drivers ahead of him suffered pit road penalties.

The green waved with 56 to go, and he quickly found himself in the middle of a four-wide situation. In the midst of the shuffling, he fell to P29. After he settled in, the field went back to a three-wide pack.

With 45 to go, the discussion of green flag pit stops began, and the first drivers took to the pits two laps later. As Poole moved to P16, he was told they would wait a few more laps. With 40 to go, Poole took the lead but pitted three laps later. He returned to the track in P28 and was told, “They’re still gonna wreck out the front.”

He gained five spots through the next handful of laps, but the pack he was running with was so far behind that they couldn’t make much ground without a caution.

In the closing laps, the pack was three wide, and on the backstretch, cars started to wreck throughout the field. However, Poole navigated the chaos and brought it home, P15.

Poole radioed in, “Sorry, guys. We never got a chance to race. But we were smart, and came away with a top 20.”

NASCAR fans know sponsors make the sport go ’round. We want to give a shoutout to CW & Sons Infrastructure. They played a huge part of the weekend for Brennan and the No. 44 team.
