Goodyear 400

23XI Racing continued their sensational ways by securing the front row for the Goodyear 400. Tyler Reddick claimed the pole, and Bubba Wallace lined up next to him. Fans anxiously awaited the green flag, which would wave in horsepower and tire changes for the race.

Reddick immediately put a gap between his car and second place, as the field battled behind him. On Lap 37, the first car came to the pits under green. Following 90 laps of mixed strategy, Brad Keselowski scored the stage win.

Stage 2 started with Kyle Larson and Chris Buescher out front. The first caution for incident came 22 laps into the stage when Erik Jones went spinning. Shortly after the restart, Keselowski solidified the lead once again. He cycled around and maintained the lead to secure the Stage 2 win.

Stage 3 started with a quick caution after Riley Herbst hit the wall and went for a spin. At the restart, Buescher set sail. After drivers cycled through green flag stops, Keselowski took to the front. With 27 to go, Reddick reclaimed the lead and ultimately secured the Goodyear 400 win.

Rich MARvelous Move of the Race

NASCAR made the move to remove Throwback Weekend from the schedule. This allowed partners and teams to run their regular schemes if they so desired.

However, given the history of Darlington Raceway, some teams couldn’t resist putting their spin on the weekend.

And while the higher-ups chose not to bring vintage NASCAR back on track, they certainly brought it for all the pre-race festivities, and that earned the Rich MARvelous Move of the Race.

In the fan zone were the typical cars from decades past.

However, this year, there was also a tribute to the late, great Greg Biffle.

Pre-race, fans were able to see and hear from Lake Speed, Dave Marcis, Harry Gant, and Mark Martin.

Not to be left out, fans at home were able to get in on the throwback action as well – Darrell Waltrip got the race started with his infamous, “Boogity, Boogity, Boogity!”

Thank you to NASCAR and Darlington Raceway for the memories and for putting a spotlight on the history of our awesome sport!
